Many processors simply submit the file then tell you what the lender comes back with for conditions. Many processing companies are cutting corners by outsourcing the file to third world countries. I personally take your file and carry it all way to post closing.
I am a valuable asset to your team. I am working with mortgage shops in the local area so I can personally visit your shop. I do not simply stack the file and submit it. I review the file to lender guidelines to answer questions before they become underwriter issues. I streamline the file when possible to eliminate extra work for the underwriters. I have worked side by side with underwriters and understand their frustration with files presented in a confusing or complicated manner. I read and understand the guidelines. If the underwriter is confused about something I deal with them directly. It is my job to get the file closed without bothering your time that could be devoted to marketing and originating.
